Alvin went into remission

On the 6th of October 2020 after two weeks of chemotherapy treatment Alvin has gone into remission from Lymphoma!

The pathologist confirmed there are no abnormal cells in his blood samples and Dr Mike at VSA&E Sylvia Park confirmed his Lymph nodes are back to normal size from an ultrasound.

We are all so grateful for this news and more updates will be posted on Alvin's recovery journey Facebook page :

Alvin will continue chemo to keep him in remission. ❤️

Cancer

In September 2020 Alvin was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Alvin was brought into the vets for diarrhea and not having any energy. It was soon discovered that Alvin has pancreatitis, and later that week through several tests that Alvin had Lymphoma. The cancer has come on rapidly, causing Alvin to become anemic and extremely underweight. Alvin has started chemotherapy and it will only be a matter of time until we know if his body is responding well to the chemo. Alvin is getting all the love and treats he could ever want and is not in any pain.

Dedicated to my cat Alvin

January 2020 has been a roller coaster, with my tonkinese cat Alvin getting seriously injured. Thank you to the support from the community & vet staff who helped Alvin’s recovery.

A give a little page was made to help support funding for Alvin’s surgeries and treatment.

Also a Facebook page was created to document his recovery, learning how to walk on three legs, and his journey getting back into his everyday life.
